My office & inspiration space

Since forever I had wanted my own space where I can just 'be'. A quiet room full of pretty things, inspiring things, 'me' things, so that when I need to come home at the end of each day from my 'normal' job and sit down to start writing for Possibly Maybe or work on other business ideas, I actually wanted to be in that room. When Mr M & I were lucky to find our current house close to the city, with it's own cafe strip and lot's of bedrooms we cut a deal. Mr M could have a man cave, if I got my own study, suffice to say we both walked away from that deal with big smiles on our faces and huge ideas in our heads. I love my room, it inspires me and makes me want to be in there. I feel productive just by walking in to it and believe that all girls should have a room that's there's to fill with what they love just like it. I stuck with basic colour designs - aqua, white and silver and try to have fresh flowers in there 24/7. Next goal on the list when upgrading my inspiration space is for the room to be overlooking the beach ... stay tuned.

    1. We are actually :) Morgs more so than me! haha I'm so used to my iphone point and shoot that taking the time to sit and grasp how amazing an expensive camera is hasn't quite caught on with me yet. I know it's surreal though - we are now at 22 days, I was thinking last night it honestly doesn't feel real for me anymore. I need to start getting it to sink in somehow! haha

    2. I remember before we left for our big Europe trip a few years ago it felt totally surreal... until the day before when all of a sudden I was more scared than excited about it! Last minute nerves... then I cried the day we left Greece to come home. You are in for some amazing adventures!

  11. What a gorgeous room. I'm all for man caves (for him) and girlie rooms (for her). I love the minimalist feel to your room but how at the same time it has soul and sentiment.

  14. I'm so very envious. I dream of the day when I finally get my own office. I can only keep nodding in agreement when reading your post. I find it rather hard trying to work on the dining table and everyone seems to think it's ok to start a conversation. I just want to close the door and work in peace.

    1. I wish that for every female who wants one! It's nice just to even have that time out. If I'm feeling stressed or scattered I can go in there and just get my journal out and write. Maybe start with a vision board, so when you get the room for one, you know exactly what you can put in it :) x

  15. You have a lovely office, Anna. I love how you made it SO simple. I can say that each display and furniture defines your personality: a hard worker and a loving parent. With the way it was organized and looking at the "Believe" sign, those two tells me that you’re really motivated to work. Good job, Anna!

    1. Naw thank you Clinton!! It's means a lot coming from a guy :) You are sooo very astute though as that is how I felt about it, things aren't in there to be in there, they're in there to represent different parts of me :) The believe sign was the very first thing I bought for it :)
